Professional Experience 1986- present Working Artist, painter, printmaker, mixed media artist exhibiting nationally and internationally. 1999 Visiting Instructor in Printmaking, Grinnell College, Grinnell, IA. -one semester Introduction to Printing Processes- etching, collagraph, monotype 1996- 1999 Instructor/Lecturer, Uludag University, College of Education, Fine Arts Department, Bursa, Turkey. - one semester first year drawing - four semesters general printmaking - monotype, collagraph, relief - one semester second year painting and collage - one semester fourth year drawing - all courses taught in Turkish 1998-1999 Instructor/Tutor, Bursa, Turkey. - private lessons given in drawing painting and collage. 1994 Visiting Artist, Grinnell College, Grinnell, IA. - presented a three hour demonstration of viscosity monotype printmaking techniques. - discussed drawing problems and approaches in a figure drawing workshop. Related Experience Translated various art texts from English to Turkish, working with the Uludag University Painting and Printmaking faculty members to restructure the existing academic programs and curricula, 1998- 1999. Traveled extensively throughout Turkey visiting archeological, historical and artistic sites. Independently studied the Turkish language, history, and culture, 1996-2006. Traveled throughout Europe, parts of Africa and Asia. Visited eleven countries in total while compiling a portfolio of drawings and prints, August to December 1995. Traveled through Ghana, Burkina Faso, and Mali in Africa, summer 1994. Attended The Drake Print Symposium, Drake University, Des Moines, IA, 1993.
